Time: 12:00-13:30

Venue:
International Capital Market Association (ICMA) Limited

Event Overview

In support of CityWeek 2017, the gathering of the international financial services community in London, ICMA has organised a lunchtime seminar on May 23 to provide an update of how green bonds are meeting environmental challenges as well as the market’s governance issues. Social bonds will also be on the agenda, in particular on  how concepts from the Green Bond Principles (GBP) are being applied to develop this market.

The green bond market doubled in size in 2016 and with sovereign benchmark issuance taking off the market seems set fair to enter the mainstream in 2017. ICMA provides the secretariat for the GBP.
